In 2015, Okayama City launched the ESD Okayama Award to actively promote Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and contribute to global efforts in this field.
This annual award, organized by Okayama City and the ESD Okayama Award Steering Board, recognizes and supports organizations worldwide that have significantly advanced ESD.
