Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Ensure Data Connectivity: Before proceeding, ensure you have an active data bundle to facilitate the online process.
  2. Choose Browser: Open your preferred web browser, avoiding the use of Opera Mini for optimal functionality.
  3. Access JAMB CAPS Login Portal: Navigate to the JAMB CAPS login admission checking portal using either of the following links:
    • http://caps.jamb.gov.ng/app_candidates/candidateprofile.aspx (Use if the first link is inaccessible)
  4. Enter Details: On the CAPS Central admission portal homepage, input your JAMB registration number in the designated field labeled “UTME Registration Number.”
  5. Submission: Click on the submit button to proceed with the admission status check.
  6. Review Details: Your details, including JAMB score, institution, and date of birth, will be displayed upon submission.
  7. Acceptance Decision: If you receive an admission offer and wish to accept it, click on the “Accept Admission” button. Conversely, if the institution and course details are blank or you have not received an admission offer, refrain from accepting admission and continue monitoring the JAMB CAPS login portal.
  8. Exercise Caution: Be cautious not to accept admission offers prematurely, especially if you anticipate receiving admission from a preferred institution.

If you decide to accept the admission offer presented to you, be aware that this action will signify the closure of your admission process for the year.

Important Note

  • Not Admitted Yet: If your Caps marketplace displays “Not Admitted Yet,” it indicates that your chosen institution has not commenced the admission process. In such cases, simply close the page and periodically revisit the portal for updates. Avoid clicking on the “Accept Admission” tab until a valid admission offer is received.
