While Data Gifting and Sharing on Glo may look similar, they are two different processes.  Gifting data on Glo simply involves buying a data plan for the recipient with your airtime balance.  In this case, instead of sharing from your data balance, you are buying data for the recipient.

  • Select the second option ‘Gift Data’
  • Select the data plan you want to buy for the recipient

  • Reply with O to confirm that you want to gift the recipient the selected data plan
  • The price of the data plan will immediately be deducted from your airtime balance and the recipient will receive the data plan.
