Airtel Me2U: Share Your Credit

Airtel’s Me2U service allows you to share your airtime with other Airtel users. It’s a convenient way to recharge your friends, family, or colleagues, as long as they are also on the Airtel network. Here’s how to use Airtel Me2U:

Changing Your Default Me2U Transfer PIN

For security reasons, it’s essential to change your default PIN to a new one. Follow these steps:

  1. In your text message app, compose a message in the following format: PIN defaultPIN newPIN. For example, if your default PIN is 0000, and you want to change it to 6565, send the message: PIN 0000 6565.
  2. Send the message to 432.
  3. You will receive a confirmation message indicating that your PIN has been successfully changed to your new one (e.g., 6565).

Once you’ve changed your PIN, you can proceed to transfer your credit to other Airtel users.

How to Transfer Credit on Airtel Lines

To transfer airtime on your Airtel line, follow these steps:

  1. Dial *432# on the Airtel line you want to transfer airtime from.
  2. Select “Transfer Airtime” from the menu.
  3. Enter the recipient’s phone number.
  4. Input your Me2U PIN.
  5. Confirm the transfer by replying with “1.”

Alternatively, you can transfer airtime by sending a message in the following format: 2u PhoneNumber Amount PIN to 432. For example, if you want to transfer N1000, and your PIN is 6565, send 2u 08012345678 1000 6565 to 432.

Please note that successful transfers incur a fee of N10. However, you won’t be charged for PIN changes or service inquiries.

How to Transfer Airtime from Airtel to MTN

If you want to transfer airtime from your Airtel line to an MTN number, follow these steps:

  1. Dial *432# on your Airtel line.
  2. Select “Airtel to Other Network Transfer” from the menu.
  3. Enter the airtime amount you wish to transfer.
  4. Provide the recipient’s phone number (MTN line).
  5. Input your PIN and send.

Code to Transfer Airtime to All Networks

To transfer airtime from Airtel to any other network (excluding Airtel), use the same process as transferring to MTN:

  1. Dial *432# on your Airtel line.
  2. Select “Airtel to Other Network Transfer” from the menu.
  3. Enter the airtime amount you wish to transfer.
  4. Provide the recipient’s phone number (any network other than Airtel).
  5. Input your PIN and send.

Please note that the process of transferring airtime from your Airtel line to other numbers remains the same, as long as the recipient’s number is not an Airtel line.

Airtel Credit Me Service

The Airtel Credit Me service allows you to request airtime and pay it back on your next recharge. You can also request airtime from friends or family on the Airtel network. To use this service, simply dial 1418*recipient number#. The recipient will receive a message requesting them to recharge your line (Please Credit Me).

Conclusion

Now that you’ve read through this guide, you should be well-equipped to transfer airtime from your Airtel line to others on the Airtel network using the Me2U service. It’s a convenient way to recharge your loved ones without needing physical airtime vouchers. So go ahead and share the connectivity!
