Mercy Eke, the winner of BBNaija Season 4, revealed that despite her efforts, she was accused of money laundering.
Goldennewsng reports that the brand influencer appeared as a guest on the television show #WithChude, hosted by Chude Jideonwo, where she talked about the accusations that the media spread against her and life after Big Brother Naija.
She stated that the allegations that she was involved in money laundering were typical of the stigma that successful women in Nigeria face.
Mercy Eke, on the other hand, stated that such speculations are extremely offensive because they fail to acknowledge the efforts, sleepless nights, and hard work that we women put in to reach their current position.
They will simply eliminate all effort and label it as evidence that someone is behind you. I’m not saying it’s bad to have someone behind you; if you have a wealthy boyfriend, taking care of you, buying you nice things, and giving you money might be their love language.
