1.) Supervisory Presiding Officers (SPOs)
Source Institution and Qualification
- Federal Public / Civil Service / MDAs – Staff on GL 10-14 (Priority is given MDAs. qualified staff of NYSC / NOA / NIMC.
- INEC Staff – RAOs & other INEC staff not engaged in any other duties (GL 10 – 14).
2.) Presiding Officer (PO) & Assistant Presiding Officer (APO)
Source Institution and Qualification
- NYSC – Serving Corps members
- Former NYSC – Not earlier than 2018 (i.e 2018, 2019, 2020 & 2021).
- Federal & State Tertiary Institution – Students in Penultimate year & a year to Convocation.
- MDAs (Federal and State) – Permanent Staff with OND or on GL 07 – 10.
3.) RAC Manager
Source Institution and Qualification
- The school/institution hosting the RAC or Super RAC – Head of school or Staff on GL 07 and above.
4.) Registration Area Technician (RATECH)
Source Institution and Qualification
- INEC Staff – Suitable ICT staff (State & HQ) of the Commission not engaged in any other duties.
- NYSC – Serving Corps members in the Commission (where available).
General Criteria for All Positions
- Applicants must not be political party members.
- Applicants must not have demonstrated or expressed support for any candidate or party.
- Applicants must reside in the STATE selected.
General Requirements for INEC Recruitment
- A functional email address.

- A recent, white background Passport Photograph not larger than 5MB.
- Contact details of two referees such as email address and phone number.
- A valid Staff ID No./Student ID No (as displayed on your ID Card)
- An NYSC Call-up Number for former corps members (not earlier than 2019).
- NYSC Call-up Number for current corps members.
- A copy of highest qualification in .pdf format not larger than 5MB.
- A copy of means of identification in .jpg, or .jpeg format
How to Register on INEC Recruitment Portal 2022
- All applications must be made online. Qualified candidates must log onto the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal at https://pres.inecnigeria.org/ to fill out the application form for free.
- Click on the “SignUp” link in the upper right corner of the page. Enter your last name (surname), first name, mobile phone number, email address and select the desired password, and then select the check box to complete the security process.
- Now you have to enter your email and confirm the registration. Your account confirmation link has been sent in your email, so check your inbox and spam folder and click on the account confirmation link.
- Now you have to open inecrecruitment.com again in your web browser and log in to your account.
- Now you can start filling out the form and upload your clean passport photo.
- Some Important Guidelines
- The image must have adequate brightness and contrast;
- The skin tone should be natural. In case of over-exposure or under-exposure of the photo, the skin is either too dark or too light, photo will not be acceptable;
- It should show a close-up of the head and partial shoulders;
- The image should be straight looking, centered with neutral expression;
- Face should be in sharp focus and clear;
- The face from forehead edge to bottom of chin should be 70 to 80% of the photo or one inch height;
- The eyes must be open and no hair obscuring the face;
- Prescription glasses if worn should be clear and thin framed and should not have flash reflection or obscure the eyes;
- Head coverings, hair, head-dress or facial ornaments should not obscure the face;
- The photo must have plain light background;
- There must be no other people or object in the photo;
- The lighting must be uniform with no shadows on the face or behind;
- Red eye photos are not allowed;
- No lines are allowed.
- No PNG image allowed.
- Max size of the passport allowed (320KB).
- Select the job you want and then submit your application.
- Print the acknowledgment form, after successfully registering the form and wait for the next stage of INEC recruitment.
