JAMB Announce Date for Releasing 2023 Jamb Result: According to a statement from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), the results for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be released on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.
However, the release was delayed to ensure that all necessary screening was concluded, and the mean and standard deviation were reasonably obtained before the results were released.
The JAMB spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, also stated that some candidates could not sit for the UTME at their scheduled time, and they would be rescheduled to take the examination on Saturday, May 6, 2023. These candidates include those who were verified at their centers but could not sit the examination, those who could not be biometrically verified, and those with mismatched data.
Out of the 1,586,765 candidates that showed interest in sitting for the examination, only 80,166 candidates are yet to take their examination. Some candidates could not sit for the examination on the first day, while others could not sit on subsequent days due to various reasons.
The JAMB spokesman urged all candidates who sat for the examination to check their results on or before Thursday, May 8, 2023. Candidates who sat for the examination but faced challenges without being aware of them would not see their results but would instead see their notification for the rescheduled examination.
As part of the decisions reached at an emergency management meeting held on Sunday, April 31, 2023, the JAMB has fixed Saturday, May 6, 2023, for all categories of candidates who have not sat for their examination to take their examination. The board assured candidates that it was working tirelessly to ensure that all eligible candidates take the examination and have their results released without any issues.
