If you’re planning to study Civil Engineering in any Nigerian university for the 2025/2026 academic session, one of the most important things to know is the official JAMB cut off mark. JAMB Cut Off Mark for Civil Engineering 2025/2026

To study Civil Engineering, the general JAMB cut off mark is 200 for most federal and state universities. However, some institutions may accept a minimum of 180, particularly state universities or those with lower competition levels.

Method 1: JAMB + Post UTME (e.g., UNIBEN)

  • JAMB Score ÷ 8

  • Post-UTME Score ÷ 2

  • Add both for total aggregate

If you score 260 in JAMB and 70 in Post-UTME:

  • 260 ÷ 8 = 32.5

  • 70 ÷ 2 = 35

  • Aggregate = 67.5

Method 2: JAMB + O’Level (e.g., AAU)

  • JAMB Score ÷ 8

  • O’Level results make up the other 50%

  • Weighted based on grades in core subjects like Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and English

 

Method 3: JAMB + Post UTME + O’Level (e.g., UNILAG)

  • JAMB Score ÷ 8

  • 30% of Post-UTME

  • 20% of O’Level

  • Sum all three to get the total

Regardless of the method used, your JAMB score typically accounts for 50% of your total aggregate, so it’s crucial to score high in the UTME exam.

Recommended Subject Combination for Civil Engineering
