Candidates are advised to obtain their DE ePINs from designated vending outlets before the 30th of April and complete their registration at JAMB offices from 6th to 13th May. The Board assures candidates that they will not be denied the opportunity to register, provided they follow the directives and adhere to the given time frame.

Preventing Falsification of Results and Infractions

JAMB seeks candidates’ understanding as it implements innovative measures to prevent falsification of results and other infractions. With this in mind, candidates are advised to adhere to the rules and regulations governing the registration process.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is the primary Nigerian government agency responsible for conducting the entrance examination for admission into tertiary institutions across the country. JAMB has announced the closing date for Direct Entry (DE) registration for the 2023/2024 academic session, which candidates interested in the Direct Entry admission process should take note of and complete their registration before the deadline.

What is JAMB Direct Entry?

JAMB Direct Entry is designed for candidates who have already obtained a diploma, NCE, or its equivalent and wish to gain admission into a Nigerian university for a degree program without going through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The Direct Entry program is an alternative route to gain admission into a university and proceed directly to the second year of study, depending on the course and the institution.

Important Dates

The JAMB Direct Entry registration for the 2023/2024 academic session began on March 20, 2023. The registration exercise is scheduled to close on May 13, 2023. Therefore, candidates who have not yet registered but are interested in applying for the Direct Entry program should endeavor to complete their registration before the deadline.

Recommended Steps

Candidates who are interested in the program should take the following recommended steps to ensure a smooth registration process:

  • Check the 2023 JAMB Direct Entry Registration Instructions & Guidelines.
  • Visit the JAMB Direct Entry Registration Centers to obtain the required registration materials.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information during the registration process to avoid disqualification or other issues during the admission process.
  • Regularly check the email address provided during registration for updates from JAMB and the chosen institution.
  • Submit the application well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues or technical problems.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the JAMB Direct Entry registration closing date for the 2023/2024 academic session is fast approaching. Candidates who are interested in the program should complete their registration before the May 13 deadline to avoid disappointment. Follow the application guidelines provided above to ensure a smooth registration process and stay updated with the latest information from JAMB and the chosen institution. Good luck!
