JAMB Result Update Today: Latest News on UTME 2025 – Saturday, May 3, 2025

As of today, Saturday, May 3, 2025, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has not released the results of the ongoing 2025 UTME.

The board had earlier explained that it won’t rush the release of results until it finishes certain verification steps — a process it says is important to ensure everything is accurate and fair.

The UTME, which began on Thursday, April 25, is still ongoing and will end on Monday, May 5.

JAMB Yet to Release 2025 UTME Results as of Saturday, May 3

JAMB’s Statement on the Delay

JAMB posted an update on its social media pages during the week, asking candidates to remain patient:

“2025 UTME results to be released as soon as all post-examination analyses and other procedures are completed. Candidates are enjoined to be patient please.”

According to JAMB, they’re currently doing biometric checks to prevent impersonation, reviewing system records for possible misconduct, and cross-checking candidate data from different centers.

Stay Alert: Beware of Fake Messages

Meanwhile, some candidates have reported receiving suspicious messages claiming their results have been withheld or that they need to pay someone to resolve issues.

JAMB has warned that it does not send such messages and urged candidates to ignore any unknown contacts offering “help.” Official information will only come from www.jamb.gov.ng or JAMB’s verified pages.

What Should Candidates Do Now?

If you’ve already written your exam, the best thing you can do now is wait. The results will likely be released shortly after the exams end on Monday — unless there are delays.

In the meantime:

  • Don’t pay anyone for result checking

  • Avoid unverified websites and links

  • Stay updated via JAMB’s official channels

Once the results are out, you’ll be able to check them at www.jamb.gov.ng.

Bottom Line

The wait is understandable , and for many candidates it is frustrating because they’re so eager to see the result of their exam. but it’s temporary. What’s more important is that the results are accurate and credible when they finally drop.

So hold on, stay sharp, and don’t fall for online traps.

Meanwhile, the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), is officially scheduled to conclude on Monday, May 5, 2025.

Multiple Daily Sessions

To ensure all registered candidates are accommodated, the examination has been conducted in batches, with multiple sessions held each day at the various centres.

Despite isolated challenges reported at a few centres, the majority of candidates have described the conduct of the exam as generally smooth and well-organized.
