JAMB Officially Releases 2025 UTME Results| Check Your Jamb Result Here

The wait is finally over. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), bringing an end to weeks of anticipation for candidates across the country.

According to a statement issued by JAMB in Abuja, the results were made public at exactly 8:00 am on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the board’s headquarters in Bwari. This marks a critical step for over 1.9 million candidates who sat for the exam this year.

If you participated in the 2025 UTME, you can now check your results online or via SMS—whichever is more convenient for you.

Over 1.9 Million Candidates Sat for the 2025 UTME

This year’s UTME saw over 1.9 million candidates across the country take part in the examination. As always, the Use of English was compulsory for everyone, while the other three subjects were based on each candidate’s course of choice.

But here’s the big headline—JAMB has revealed that more than 1.5 million candidates scored below 200 out of the total 400 marks. That’s a huge number, considering that 200 is the benchmark score for many universities in Nigeria.

The Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, reacted to this, saying the numbers show that recent efforts to curb malpractice are starting to yield results.

“We’re seeing more honest scores and less manipulation. It means the system is becoming more credible,” he said.

How to Check Your JAMB Result (2025)

If you’re ready to see your result, there are two simple ways to check it—online or via SMS.

✅ Option 1: Check Online

  1. Go to the official JAMB portal: https://slipsprinting.jamb.gov.ng/CheckUTMEResults

  2. Click on “Check 2025 UTME Result”

  3. Enter your JAMB registration number or email

  4. Hit Submit and your result should appear

✅ Option 2: Check via SMS

  1. Text UTME RESULT to 55019 or 66019

  2. Make sure you use the same number you used for registration

  3. You’ll get a message shortly with your result

💡 You must have at least ₦50 airtime on your line for this to work.

What’s Next After Checking Your Result?

Once you’ve seen your score, the next thing is to start preparing for admissions. Keep an eye on your chosen school’s cut-off mark, and get ready for post-UTME or screening exercises. Every school has its own process, so it’s important to stay updated.

Your JAMB result is just the first step—what you do next matters even more.
