The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is set to release the results of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) today.

Scheduled to hold a press briefing in Abuja, JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, will provide insights into the release and associated matters, as indicated in a notice circulated to journalists in the capital city.

Insights into the Release Process

  • Phased Release: There are indications that the results to be released on Monday are specifically for candidates who participated in the UTME in the initial days of the examination period. Results for other candidates are expected to follow after thorough scrutiny is completed.
  • Thorough Scrutiny: The decision to delay the release of results for a few days was made to ensure ample time for meticulous scrutiny. This measure is aimed at upholding the credibility and integrity of the results, mitigating doubts or uncertainties, particularly regarding issues such as impersonation and other forms of malpractice.

Accessing Your 2024 UTME Results

Here’s a comprehensive guide on accessing your 2024 UTME results through two primary avenues: the official JAMB website and an SMS option.

Check JAMB Results 2024 Online

The official JAMB website serves as the primary platform for accessing UTME results, offering the additional functionality to print your results slip. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the JAMB eFacility Portal: Open a web browser and navigate to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board’s eFacility portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/login.
  2. Enter Login Details: Provide your Email Address and password used during registration.
  3. Access Results: Click on the “Check UTME Results” button after entering the required details. Your UTME scores for each subject tested should be displayed on the screen if released.

Important Notes:

  • Ensure a stable internet connection before attempting to check your results online.
  • Error messages may indicate that your result isn’t yet available or there’s a service downtime due to website traffic. Be patient or explore alternative options.

Checking JAMB Results 2024 via SMS

For those without immediate access to a computer or the internet, JAMB offers a convenient SMS option for result retrieval. Here’s how:

  1. Open Messaging App: Launch your text messaging application on your mobile phone.
  2. Compose Message: In a new message, type “RESULT” (in all caps) followed by your JAMB Registration Number.
  3. Send SMS: Send the message to either 55019 or 66019, the official JAMB result SMS numbers.
  4. Receive Results: JAMB will respond with an SMS containing your UTME scores for each subject tested, if available.

Important Note: This method incurs a ₦50 service charge deducted from your mobile phone airtime. Ensure sufficient balance before attempting.

Final Thoughts

Upon receiving your results, take the time to review your scores for each subject meticulously. If you encounter difficulties accessing your results after the conclusion of all exams, promptly reach out to the JAMB support line or raise a ticket for assistance. Your perseverance and diligence are commendable on this journey toward higher education attainment.
