JAMB Subject Combination For Crop Science

We will also provide the admission requirements for both UTME and Direct Entry candidates who wish to study Crop, Soil, and Environmental Science. Read on to learn more.

O’Level Subjects and Requirements

As a UTME candidate, it is important to ensure that you meet the requirements for studying Crop, Soil, and Environmental Science. You must have at least five (5) SSCE credit passes, which should include the following subjects:

  1. Chemistry
  2. English Language
  3. Mathematics
  4. Biology/Agricultural Science
  5. One other subject from Physics, Economics, or Geography

JAMB Subject Combination for Crop, Soil, and Environmental Science

UTME candidates should note that English Language is a compulsory subject for all courses in UTME. The other three (3) subjects required to study Crop Science, which falls under the Faculty of Agriculture, are:

  1. Biology/Agriculture
  2. Physics or Mathematics
  3. Chemistry

Admission Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

Direct Entry candidates who wish to study Crop, Soil, and Environmental Science without applying through UTME should satisfy the following requirements:

  1. Two (2) ‘A’ level passes or equivalent in Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science/Botany/Zoology/Economics/Mathematics/Physics/Geography/Geology
