The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has officially opened its portal for the 2025 nationwide recruitment exercise, offering thousands of job opportunities for qualified Nigerians across various positions.

The recruitment, carried out under the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), is aimed at filling full-time vacancies in the federal agency. Both graduates and non-graduates are encouraged to apply.

Interested applicants can now submit their applications via the official portal: https://recruitment.cdcfib.org. The deadline to apply is Thursday, July 17, 2025, and the agency has stressed that the application process is completely free of charge.

“We urge all applicants to use only the official recruitment portal. The process is transparent and at no cost. Beware of fake agents and online fraudsters,” the NIS warned in an official statement.

Who Can Apply?

The 2025 recruitment covers three major categories:

  • Category A – Superintendent Cadre:

    • Assistant Superintendent of Immigration II – CONPASS 08

    • Superintendent of Immigration I – CONPASS 09

  • Category B – Inspectorate Cadre:

    • Assistant Inspector – CONPASS 06

  • Category C – Assistant Cadre:

    • Immigration Assistant II (General Duty) – CONPASS 04

    • Immigration Assistant III (Drivers, Artisans, General Duty) – CONPASS 03

 General Requirements for Applicants:

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be a Nigerian citizen by birth

  • Be between 18 and 35 years old

  • Possess valid academic qualifications (no awaiting results)

  • Be mentally and physically fit, with a medical certificate from a government hospital

  • Have no criminal record or financial misconduct history

  • Male applicants must be at least 1.65m tall; females 1.60m

  • Male chest measurement must be at least 0.87m

  • Computer literacy is an added advantage
