Today, November 16, 2019, Kogi people will vote for their preferred number one citizen in the Kogi governorship election 2019, to oversee the north-central state for another four years.
According to INEC , the Kogi election will take place in twenty-one (21) Local Government Areas (LGA) and two hundred and thirty-nine (239) wards in the state.

Twenty-four (24) political parties and candidates are registered for the Kogi governorship election but two; the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have been identified by political analysts as the main contenders for the election
Incumbent Governor Yahaya Bello is seeking a second term in office in the platform of the APC while Musa Wada of the PDP is hoping to unseat him.
