JAMB Urges Candidates to Proceed with Printing of Exam Slips | See JAMB Slip reprinting 2023 Portal

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has advised all candidates taking the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations to print their examination notification slips starting from April 20, 2023. According to JAMB, the notification slip will provide essential details such as the candidate’s examination centre, time, and date needed for taking the 2023 UTME, which commences on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. The Head of Public Affairs and Protocol of the board, Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in Abuja on Thursday.

All candidates taking the 2023 UTME are expected to print their examination notification slips on or before Monday, April 24, 2023, by visiting the JAMB website, https://www.jamb.gov.ng, and clicking on the “2023 UTME SLIP PRINTING” option on the menu bar. Benjamin also advised candidates to note that the information featured on the slip would enable them to easily locate their centres before the examination, and urged them to locate their centres before the day of their examination to avoid arriving late.

Additionally, candidates were advised against bringing prohibited items such as wristwatches, calculators, flash drives, and phones into the examination halls. Benjamin reiterated JAMB’s zero tolerance for examination malpractice and urged candidates to refrain from any unethical behavior during the examination. Overall, JAMB’s advice is to ensure that candidates are well-prepared and equipped for a successful UTME.

JAMB Releases Results of 2023 Supplementary Mock Exam with Over 84,000 Candidates Participating Across 387 CBT Centres Nationwide”

The supplementary mock exam for the 2023 JAMB was conducted on April 18th, with 84,000 candidates participating across 387 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide. Of these, 16 centres had two sessions. The results of the exam have been released and can be checked immediately. JAMB’s Registrar, Prof. Oloyede, praised the candidates for their understanding regarding the rescheduling of the exam to Tuesday due to glitches caused by innovative deployment during the mock-UTME in some centres. JAMB’s Director of Information Technology Services (ITS), Fabian Okoro, reported that real-time information from all CBT centres confirmed a smooth exercise. We urge candidates who participated in the supplementary mock to check their results now that they are available.

JAMB extends 2023 direct entry registration

JAMB has prolonged the deadline for the ongoing 2023 Direct Entry (DE) registration for an additional week. The DE registration started on March 20 and was initially supposed to end on April 20, but it will now close on April 28.

According to a statement by JAMB spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, the extension is to provide candidates with Cambridge A’Level results with the opportunity to verify their certificates during registration and allow other candidates more time to register.

The board has collaborated with the British Council to streamline the process of verifying the Cambridge A/L Certificate. This move led to JAMB reconsidering its earlier decision to exclude the Cambridge certificate for DE registration.

The holders of Cambridge Certificates, who want to register for the 2023 Direct Entry, can visit any of the board’s offices closest to them to register for the exercise. However, the board will not accept candidates who are waiting for their Cambridge certificates.
