Npower Stipends Payment Continues As New Minister Sworn In
Continued Npower Stipends Payment Following Inauguration of New Minister
In the latest update from Npower, we bring you news about the ongoing payment of stipends. Stay tuned as we provide you with the latest developments!
Npower Nasims management has officially announced via its social media communication platforms that the outstanding stipend payments from 2022 are still being processed. This announcement coincides with the appointment of a new Minister in the ministry.
It’s worth recalling that the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, now renamed as the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, welcomed Dr. Betta Chimaobim Edu as its new Minister. Dr. Edu assumed office at the ministry’s headquarters in Abuja a few days ago, bringing renewed hope for the betterment of 136 million underprivileged Nigerians.
In light of this, Nasims has confirmed that the payment process for Category 2 beneficiaries (C2) is currently underway.
The payroll tab’s payment information on the Nasims portal has been reinstated, allowing beneficiaries to verify their payment status through this tab.
If you’re an Npower Beneficiary with questions about pending payment and payroll status, it’s possible that any delay in the “Pending” status on the payroll tab might be due to recent validation of your account. In such cases, payment processing may still be pending.
Additionally, Nasims has taken steps to restore most of the missing beneficiary information following the latest update, making it accessible again through the Nasims self-service portal. This means that beneficiaries can now stay informed about updates by utilizing the Nasims self-service portal.
Federal Government’s vow to investigate Former Minister
In the latest development, Dr. Betta Edu, the present Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, has announced the government’s intention to investigate the activities of the former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, Hajia Sadiya Umar Farouq.
This is because of some mismanagement of funds allocated for NPower Beneficiaries, Unemployed youths and Poor Citizen.
While the investigation is going on, the new minister has promised to pay all backlog to NPower Beneficiaries.
