About the LONG Scholars Program

The Long Empowerment Foundation Scholarship, also known as the LONG Scholars Program, is designed to provide financial assistance, mentorship, and a support community for promising students who face economic hardship. This initiative is rooted in the Foundation’s mission to help Nigerian youth rewrite their stories through education and opportunity.

The scholarship is renewable yearly based on academic performance and demonstrated financial need.

Scholarship Value

Successful applicants will receive up to ₦350,000 per academic session, which covers:

  • Tuition and registration fees

  • Accommodation

  • Examination fees

  • Learning materials

This support is available for both secondary and tertiary-level students.

Eligible Programmes

Applicants must have secured admission into one of the following academic programs:

  • National Diploma (ND)

  • Higher National Diploma (HND)

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Participating Institutions

Students enrolled in the following types of accredited Nigerian institutions are eligible to apply:

  • Universities

  • Polytechnics

  • Colleges of Education

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Long Empowerment Foundation Scholarship 2025, you must:

  • Be between 16 and 26 years old

  • Be currently admitted or enrolled in an accredited institution

  • Come from a household with an annual income below ₦3,000,000

  • Provide academic transcripts, proof of financial need, and a reference letter

  • Academic Transcripts or Latest Results

  • Reference Letter

  • Proof of Financial Need (e.g., letter from a religious leader or community head)
