Man rapes 85 year old grandmother in Niger
A 25 year old man, Ezekiel Yunana of Ungwan Ya’u Tukunguna village in Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State has been arrested by the Police for raping and attempting to kidnap an 85 year old grandmother.
According findings, the suspect criminally trespassed and entered the room of the Octogenarian, Bitahara Maibago, who was fast asleep
Investigations have it that at about 11pm on Saturday May 23rd 2020, the suspect broke into her room, raped her and threatened to kidnap her except she paid an amount of money.
After scuffles at night, the Suspect forcefully had canal knowledge of the 85 year old grandmother and took to his heels after her grandson, Ishaku Achidawa came to her rescue.
The traumatized Octogenarian two days after the incident, reported the incident to the Police and the suspect was trailed.
On receipt of the complaint, Police detectives attached to Kagara Division of the Nigeria Police arrested the suspect whom according to the Police tried to escape.
While confirming the incident on Thursday, the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Wasiu Abiodun said the Suspect confessed to the crime and that the case will soon be charged to court.
