Manchester United were expected to beat Danish side Copenhagen pretty comfortably during their Europa League quarter-final on Monday night.
However, the Red Devils needed 120 minutes to beat a side who finished second in the Danish Superliga this season.
Even then, it required a very dubiously awarded penalty from Bruno Fernandes to send them through to the semi-finals.
In truth, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side did more than enough to win the match three times over.
During the 120 minutes, they had 26 attempts.
However, fourteen of those were saved by Copenhagen’s Karl-Johan Johnsson who produced one of the greatest goalkeeping displays we’ve ever seen.

BT Sport pundit, Robin van Persie had this to say about Johnsson’s performance.
“He made some proper, proper saves, not just balls going towards him,” Van Persie said. “He really went for them, he put his body on the line.
“He went for great saves, the one from Martial was an unbelievable save with one hand. I think this was the best game of his life, it must be!
The word is that FC Copenhagen have several Manchester United fans in their ranks – but none bigger than forward Mohamed Daramy!
The 18-year-old Dane has been subjected to some light-hearted stick from his colleagues in the build-up to the Europa League quarter-final tonight.
With his support for the Reds well known as he sometimes wears our shirt to training, he also revealed his favourite player is Marcus Rashford.

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata admits the team is “quite tired physically” after narrowly beating FC Copenhagen 1-0 after extra time to reach the Europa League semi-finals.
The Red Devils had the better of the possession and chances against the Danish side on a swelteringly hot evening in Cologne, but were nearly left to rue a combination of bad luck, poor finishing and inspired goalkeeping from goalkeeper Karl-Johan Johnsson before eventually securing victory.
United hit the woodwork twice and saw Mason Greenwood’s first-half strike ruled out offside, while goalkeeper Johnsson made a Europa League record 13 saves.
