The Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe, has officially announced a new recruitment wave for various academic and non-academic positions. The move is part of the institution’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its teaching staff and support services in line with national education goals.

The announcement, signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Dr. Umar Muhammad Bello (fnica), invites qualified Nigerians from across the country to apply for a wide range of positions currently available at the college.

“This recruitment is an important step in promoting academic excellence, professionalism, and institutional growth,” Dr. Bello stated in the release.

The recruitment covers both academic and non-teaching roles across various departments and services.

Academic Positions:

Positions are open from Assistant Lecturer to Senior Lecturer in the following departments:

  • Adult Education

  • Arabic Language

  • Christian Religious Studies

  • Chemistry

  • English

  • Fine and Applied Arts

  • Geography

  • Home Economics

  • Hausa

  • History

  • Igbo

  • Integrated Science

  • Islamic Studies

  • Mathematics

  • Physical and Health Education

  • Political Science

  • Primary Education

  • Social Studies

  • Special Education

  • Technical Education (Electrical, Automobile, Metal Work, Woodwork, Building Construction)

Non-Academic Positions:

Positions include:

  • Medical Officer

  • Pharmacist

  • Medical Laboratory Scientist

  • Chief Nursing Superintendent

  • Nursing Superintendent

  • Staff Nurse/Midwife

  • Community Health Assistant

  • Medical Record Officer

  • Medical Record Assistant

  • Higher Technologist

  • Higher Technician

  • Higher Technical Officer

  • Confidential Secretary

  • ICT Officers and Technologists

  • Assistant Executive Officer

  • Clerical Officers

  • Store Officers

Requirements

Applicants are expected to meet the following general qualifications:

  • Be between the ages of 18 and 55

  • Possess a relevant First Degree (minimum of Second Class Lower)

  • Hold a valid NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate

  • Be computer literate

  • For teaching positions, candidates must possess TRCN Certification

  • Additional certifications or licenses may be required, depending on the role
