This opportunity allows students who have achieved the minimum JAMB-approved cut-off mark to participate in the forthcoming MAUTECH Pre-Degree examinations, as indicated by the institution’s administration. The application process for this academic session remains similar to the previous year, with the exception of the closing date, which aligns with other tertiary institutions.

Before proceeding, it is important to review the prerequisites for submitting the form online. Affiliated schools with MAUTECH are required to follow the application procedures outlined below, based on the provided information.

About MAUTECH’s Pre-Degree Program

The pre-degree program was established to meet the demand for a comprehensive preparatory course aimed at preparing high school graduates for their first year of college. The program aims to provide opportunities for higher education to students who were not admitted through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) process.

The nine-month course commences in October and features instruction from experienced and dedicated professors across various academic departments. Before being admitted into any study program at the university, all pre-degree students must take the UTME and achieve the National Minimum score set by JAMB annually.

The academic requirements of the program align with JAMB and the university’s 100-Level curriculum. It is important to note that the program is non-residential, meaning students are responsible for arranging off-campus housing.

The Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH) administration invites applications from Pre-Degree candidates who meet the necessary qualifications for admission into various Degree Programs for the 2023/2024 academic year.

Regardless of color, ethnicity, ethnic identity, religion, gender, or country of origin, all interested candidates may apply for pre-degree admission to Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH) for the 2023/2024 session. Both indigenous and non-indigenous candidates, whether sponsored or unsponsored by the government, are eligible to apply for MAUTECH Admission 2023/2024.

MAUTECH Pre-Degree Entry Qualifications

Candidates applying for the MAUTECH Pre-Degree program must meet the following requirements:

  • Obtain credit passes in at least five (5) “O” level subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Agricultural Science is acceptable for Agricultural Science Education and Agriculture candidates only), in not more than two sittings in the SSCE (WAEC/NECO, GCE, or NABTEB).
  • Candidates applying for programs in the Faculty of Agriculture should have at least five (5) “O” Level Credit passes in NECO, WASC/GCE, including Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, Mathematics, English Language, and any one of Economics, Geography, or Physics.
