It seemed like many celebrities in Nigeria have gotten over the troubles caused by the corona virus lock down as the popular Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe told her followers that she has fully reopened her businesses.
The actress took to her Instagram handle to inform her fans that she is back to work. She also told them to patronize her stores that are all open. This is in sharp contrast to some celebrities like Omawunmi who have vowed never to step out due to the rising cases of corona virus infection in the country.
Her position reflects the view some category of Nigerian who prefer that the country should not be lock down because of the corona virus. Others argues that it is much better for Nigerians to suffer from corona virus tan for them to die of hunger which forced the federal government to lift the lock down which lasted for over one month.
The country has remained open despite the rising cases of Covid19 and the government is considering reimposing the lock down if the cases of people that have tested positive to the virus continues to rise.
