Nigerian actress Mercy Aigbe has revealed via her Instagram handle that she is in support of a peaceful protest against the gruesome killing and rape of young girls in Nigeria over the past few days. While expressing her desires to embark on a peaceful protest, the actress shared a photo in which she was standing in front of her new red Benz car which she bough barely a month ago.
May fans wondered whether she intended to go on a protest with that car. Protest of these nature are often violent because the government gives a political connotation to them so they might be a few rubber bullets shot and tear gas to disperse protesters.
If that happens, some damages may be done to her new Benz which she has repeatedly been posing with in different photos. Mercy Aigbe has also joined in condemning the atrocity of rape and murder going on in Nigeria saying that enough is enough.
Mercy Aigbe: “I am up for a peaceful protest! Petition!
So long as our voices are heard and demand for justice is met! I will also encourage us to use our platforms to push for change ….. Ki lo de! O ti su mi! Infact we are tired!!!!!! Enough is Enough! We can really do better as humans! *sad* just sad* Parents the onus falls on us to instill a lot of values and morals in our kids!!!!!! We are the most important educators our children will ever have hence we must start talking honestly with them at an early age. We should let them know that affirmative consent is a very important prerequisite to any sexual behavior! Our boys must be taught that CONSENT is very important and No means NO!…….This is all so upsetting!”.
