The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC has again released suspected cyber fraudster, Mompha, whose real names are Ismaila Mustapha, after he was rearrested again by the agency.
This was confirmed by his lawyer, Gboyega Oyewole (SAN) to reporters yesterday.
He also disclosed that Mompha had withdrawn the Five million Naira fundamental human rights suit filed against the anti corruption agency to challenge his rearrest.
The self proclaimed social media billionaire is facing an alleged N32 billion fraud charge at a Federal High court in Lagos.
He was rearrested last week when he went to reclaim some of his properties still at the EFCC office.
The items include, five wristwatches, one Apple Air pod, one iPhone 8 mobile phone and a pair of sunglasses.
The items have been in the possession of EFCC since last year when he was first arrested.
A court judge, Justice Mohammed Liman had earlier delivered a ruling ordering the items to be released, which prompted his visit to the EFCC office on August 14 and subsequent arrest.
