Angry mothers on Monday blocked the Kaduna-Kachia highway following the abduction of about 140 students of Bethel Baptist Secondary School in Kujama.
GoldenNewsNG had reported how bandits stormed the school on Monday morning and started shooting sporadically before kidnapping the scores of students.
It was learnt that the parents of the abducted students around 3pm blocked the road with logs of wood in massive protest, but a military convoy arrived at the scene in the evening and opened the road for commuters.
The mother of the abducted students sat in the middle of the road during the protest, while others held leaves and threatened to remain there as they wailed and called for the rescue of their children.
The protesting parents also expressed anger at the Kaduna state government and security agencies for failing to protect their children.
