The Ambassadors who were drawn from the Nine local government areas were selected from each local government area to sensitize and mobilize the Christian Youth towards getting the desired result socio-politically.

The Vice President of Mastercard and a one-time senatorial aspirant, Mr. Paul Tsado Tswanya in his keynote address titled ‘Strategy and Action Focus for Desired Relevance in Our State’ during Easter celebration, lamented that the Christian Youth are lukewarm and they need to rise up if they want to change the political and socio-economic narratives in the state.

He pointed out that the Christian Youth in the state are acting on their unconscious bias which see politics as a dirty game stressing that being in politics is not a choice but a call to duty for them.

“One of our biases as Christian Youth is that we perceive politics as a dirty game and Christians do not play dirty. There is also the bias that Politicians are liars and Christians should not lie.

“But you all need to know that the impact of politics in the state is the impact on the lives we live. Whoever is in government makes policies that affect your life. Politics is a game of numbers and for Christian Youth to be relevant politically, they have to work on their numbers and being united.”

He reiterated that some Christian Youth have no electoral value which is why they have not become a force to be reckoned with in the state.

“Get involved in any political party, make sure you are registered with INEC, make sure you collect your permanent voter’s card and in a place where you can vote on election day, and on the day of the election, cast your vote”, Tswanya stated.

In his presentation, a former Permanent Secretary, Cabinet and Security, Paul N. Kolo noted that the Christian Youth need to get it right and try to work at taking risks.

He noted that there is fragile unity among the Christian Youth adding that there is light at the end of the tunnel if they can mobilize themselves and unite with each other.

The Chairman of the Niger Christian Youth Forum, Alexander H. Tsado said that the Leadership Summit is being organized to engage and enlighten Christian youth leaders in Niger East Senatorial District.

According to him, the summit would be conducted in all the Senatorial Districts across the state adding that the summit is held for Christian Youth to discuss issues that affect them daily in the state.

He stated that the expected outcome of the forum is to work at resolving the problems affecting Christians, especially the youths in the state.
