Wife of the Niger State Governor, Dr Amina Sani Bello has disassociate herself from posters depicting her as an aspirant for the Niger east senatorial seat in 2023, adding that “I do not have aspiration for elective office”.
Dr Amina Bello said in a statement signed by her Press Secretary, Rabi Sarki Bello that she is comfortable in providing support and encouragement to her husband as Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, and would also remain focused in touching and improving the lives of Nigerlites, through her non-governmental organisation, Raise Foundation.
She advised the general public to ignore these posters and any similar publication as they have nothing to do with her.
According to the statement “the attention of the wife of Niger state Governor Doctor Amina Abubakar Bello, has been drawn to posters being displayed by a group “Destiny one for all” depicting her as an aspirant for the Niger east senatorial seat in 2023.
“Dr Amina would like to use this medium to dissociate herself from the actions of this unknown group. At no time has the wife of the Governor engaged anybody or group to tell them of the assumed aspiration.”
She added that, even though she would continue to advocate for women participation in politics, this must not be construed to mean she has aspiration for elective office.
Dr Amina Bello further cautioned those involved and any similar group who intend to tow similar lines to desist and focus their resources and energy to more challenging issues that would bring socio- economic development to our people and the state.
