As part of efforts to revamp the health sector, the Niger State government has reaffirmed its willingness to reposition the primary, secondary and tertiary health sectors in order to achieve health for all

In a statement issued by the governor’s Special Adviser on Digital Media and Strategy, Abdulberqi Usman Ebbo said that Governor Umaru Bago is giving the health sector the desired attentions to ensure the state does not experience medical workers exodus.

He stated that Governor Umaru Bago has completely transformed the Doctors’ building, making the quarters habitable and conducive for Doctors working in the hospital.

While hinting that the state-owned IBB Specialist Hospital is undergoing remodelling, with new departments being created and state-of-the-art facilities installed for effective and efficient service delivery, the Special Adviser revealed that the first ever state University Teaching Hospital is currently under construction.

Ebbo maintained that the state government has also begun constructing 100 level-2 primary healthcare centers, with about 20 set to be completed in the next 10 weeks an indication that the present administration under the leadership of governor Mohammed Umar Bago has prioritized the health sector in enhancing positive results.
