Nigeria Police Recruitment Examination Update Today
The Police Service Commission (PSC) has officially announced that no examination date has been set for the ongoing recruitment of Nigerian youths into the Constable cadre of the Nigeria Police Force. This statement was made to address the misinformation and circulating dates on social media platforms, which the Commission has confirmed were not issued by them.
Applicants are urged to disregard any examination dates currently being circulated on social media. The PSC emphasizes that it will formally announce the examination date at the appropriate time. Furthermore, successful applicants from the screening exercise, conducted across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, will be individually notified of the examination date.
In response to the spread of false information, the Commission has directed the Police Cyber-crime Unit to investigate and apprehend the perpetrators for prosecution. Applicants are advised to rely only on information provided through the Commission’s recognized media platforms to avoid falling prey to misinformation and fraudulent schemes.
The Commission has specifically warned against a fictitious publication suggesting that the examination date is set for February 14th, 2024, and including false directives regarding examination procedures. Applicants are encouraged to remain patient and await the official announcement from the PSC regarding the examination date and further instructions.
Dr. Solomon Arase, retired Inspector General of Police and Chairman of the Commission, advises applicants against desperation and to be vigilant. He reassures that the recruitment process will be transparent and provide equal opportunity for all candidates. Dr. Arase also highlights the significance of the recruitment in bolstering national security efforts against insurgency and banditry.
The Commission commits to conducting a transparent and successful recruitment exercise and calls for patience and support from the public. Criminal elements attempting to interfere in the recruitment process are warned to desist.
For further inquiries, the Commission has provided contact information for Ikechukwu Ani, Head of Press and Public Relations at the Press and Public Relations Unit of the Police Service Commission.
