The First Bank of Nigeria has announced a New SMS alert fee
GoldenNewsNg reports that FirstBank customers will now pay more for transaction SMS alerts as the bank has announced an upward review of its alert fee from ₦4 to ₦6 per message.
The bank attributed the new rate to increased charges from telecom service providers.
It stressed that the decision was made to ensure uninterrupted delivery of financial transaction updates, which are necessary for customer awareness and account security.
Despite the increment, FirstBank reassured customers of its commitment to providing quality service and minimizing inconvenience.
For inquiries or complaints, customers are encouraged to reach out through the bank’s official phone lines, emails, or website.
The bank also reminded customers to protect their online banking details and report any suspicious activity immediately.
