Nigerian Government Begins Disbursement of N20,000 Grant to vulnerable people in Cross River state. 

In a significant move to combat poverty in Nigeria, the government has initiated a program distributing N20,000 each to vulnerable groups in Cross River state. The official launch, led by Governor Bassey Otu and Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Dr. Betta Edu, took place in Calabar on Monday.

“The president needs the partnership of all to succeed in the task of taking 50 million Nigerians out of poverty by 2030,” Governor Otu stated.

Governor Otu, recognizing that some beneficiaries had already received payment alerts, praised the program’s timely execution, especially considering the approaching Christmas festivities. He expressed optimism about the future, assuring the people of both Cross River and Nigeria of a brighter tomorrow.
