Nigerian Navy Shortlist 2025 Released: Check NNBTS Batch 37 Interview List, Dates & Requirements

Are you among the applicants for the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School (NNBTS) Batch 37 recruitment? The Nigerian Navy has officially released the shortlist of successful candidates for the next phase—the recruitment interview.

  1. Visit the official Nigerian Navy recruitment portal: joinnigeriannavy.com
  2. Navigate to the “Shortlisted Candidates” section.
  3. Download the PDF file containing the list of selected applicants.
  4. Use the search function (CTRL + F on PC or search icon on mobile) to find your name or application number.

✅ If your name is on the list, congratulations! Proceed to the next stage: the recruitment interview.


Nigerian Navy NNBTS Batch 37 Interview Schedule & Venues

The interview will take place from 16 February to 16 March 2025 at two major locations:

  • Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Old Site, Kaduna – for candidates from North West, North Central, and North East.
  • Nigerian Navy Basic Training School (NNBTS) Onne, Rivers State – for candidates from South West, South South, and South East.

📢 Important: Candidates must report to their respective centres on their scheduled date, as failure to do so will result in disqualification.


Required Documents for Nigerian Navy NNBTS Batch 37 Interview

Candidates must bring the following items:

✅ Originals and photocopies of all academic credentials.

✅ State of Origin/LGA Certificate.

✅ National Identity Card or NIN Slip.

✅ Completed Parent/Guardian Consent and Attestation forms.

✅ Writing materials (pen, pencil, notebook).

✅ Two pairs of navy blue shorts and two plain white T-shirts.

✅ A pair of white canvas shoes and socks.

✅ Personal hygiene items (toothpaste, brush, bathing soap, towel, etc.).

✅ Four recent 30x30mm passport-sized photographs (white background).

✅ Face masks and hand sanitizers.

📌 Special Requirement for Drivers (Category H Applicants): Candidates in this category must present a valid Driver’s Licence.


Nigerian Navy Interview Process & Screening

The interview will involve:

  • Verification of credentials.
  • Medical and physical screening.
  • Written tests.
  • General fitness assessment.

📢 Note: Any candidate who fails to meet the required criteria will be disqualified at any stage of the interview.

Residents of a Lagos estate were left in shock on Thursday night after a young woman, Deborah Porsche, popularly known as Debporsche, was allegedly murdered by her ex-boyfriend, identified simply as Lintex, nearly a year after their breakup. According to reports, Lintex had repeatedly threatened Deborah since their split in August 2024, allegedly vowing: “If I don’t have you, nobody will. If I no marry you, blood go flow.” Deborah’s sister described her as a hardworking interior decorator who had just completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). She further alleged that the deceased endured emotional abuse throughout her relationship with Lintex, which ultimately pushed her to walk away. On the night of the attack, the suspect disguised himself as a dispatch rider in an attempt to infiltrate the estate. Security guards reportedly stopped him at the gate, but he scaled the fence and gained entry to Deborah’s apartment. Eyewitnesses said Lintex first tampered with the gas cylinder line outside the apartment, allegedly trying to cause an explosion. When that failed, he forced his way inside and stabbed Deborah multiple times with a knife he brought along. Alarmed neighbours rushed to the scene and alerted the police. The suspect was subdued and handed over to law enforcement officers. Police authorities have confirmed the incident, stating that investigations are ongoing. Deborah’s tragic death has sparked outrage online and renewed calls for stronger legal protections for women against abusive and obsessive partners.
