  1. Prof Onje Gye-Wado, a former deputy governor of Nasarawa State, was kidnapped from his home in Rinza, near Wamba, headquarters of Wamba Local Government Area of the state. He was released after a ransom of N4 million was paid.
  2. Festus Keyamo, a spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, has made derogatory remarks about supporters of Peter Obi, Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, calling them “mentally weak”. Obi’s supporters, known as “Obidients”, have been the subject of controversy in the last week.
  3. The burial of Prince Bola Ajibola, a former Judge of the International Court of Justice in Hague, Netherlands, and a former Attorney-General of Nigeria, took place in Abeokuta, Ogun State. He was also the founder of Crescent University, Abeokuta. Ajibola passed away at the age of 89.
  4. Accredited apple importers have been accused of importing bad apples into the country, causing concern among apple marketers in Kano State. If the situation is not addressed, it could have negative consequences for innocent citizens and businesses across the country.

Prophet Tomi Arayomi, the Founder of RIG Nation and Pioneer Church in the United Kingdom, has announced that he and his family will be relocating out of the country until a “better Nigeria” is achieved. Arayomi and his wife, Tahmar, who are both British citizens, were arrested by the Department of State Services, along with their aide Emmanuel Ezerika, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja on Friday.
    1. A fatal crash in Enugu State on Saturday claimed the lives of at least 15 people, according to a statement by the Corps Public Education Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Bisi Kazeem. Excessive speed and route violation were cited as the cause of the accident.
    2. The All Progressives Congress has filed three separate responses urging the Presidential Election Petitions Court in Abuja to dismiss petitions filed by three opposition parties challenging the victory of its presidential candidate, Sen. Bola Tinubu, in the Feb. 25 election. The APC has asked the tribunal to discountenance the petitions.
    3. The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Most Revd. Mathew Kukah, has criticized the 2023 general election, saying it failed to meet the expectations of a significant portion of the Nigerian population of over 200 million.
    4. A man identified as Bendega has been accused of recording videos and taking pictures of himself and his female lovers engaging in sexual intercourse without their consent using his mobile phone, laptop, and camera. It was reported that after committing the crime, Bendega sold his lovers’ nude videos and pictures.
