1. River State Governor, Nyesom Wike, who has been locked in a cold war with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar since the presidential candidate picked Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, as his running mate, has warned that he should not be blamed if the PDP loses the presidential contest. He, however, denied suing Atiku and the PDP over the party’s presidential primary, blaming Atiku’s camp for the move.
2. At least four people were killed in a clash between cattle dealers and members of the Odua Peoples Congress (OPC) in Ajase, Irepodun Local Government of Kwara State, on Friday. Some commercial vehicles and passengers plying the area were caught in the melee that lasted for hours.
3. Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State has tendered an apology to the Catholic faithful over a remark he made while defending his appointment as Director-General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council.
