Following the trending News in Nigeria, ‘Nnamdi Kanu’, IPOB is set to Totally Lockdown Southeast For One Month If Department of State Services, DSS, refuses to bring it’s leader to court
GoldenNewsNg report that the trial of Nnamdi Kanu at the Abuja High Court is expected to continue on October 7th, 2021.
According to report, Emma Powerful In a statement on Wednesday through its spokesperson stated that it would lockdown the whole region from October 21 if Kanu is not produced in court.
The statement reads in part, “If the federal government refuses to bring him (Nnamdi Kanu) to court in his next court appearance on October 21, 2021, the entire Biafra land will be on total lock down for one month. The federal government will know that they cannot take us for granted any more.
“Our peaceful disposition as a people should not be misconstrued as weakness. Nigeria cannot incarcerate our leader illegally and expect things to be normal again. If by October 21, Kanu is not brought to court, Nigeria will know that Kanu commands the unflinching loyalty of over 60 million Biafrans home and in Diaspora.”
Meanwhile, IPOB leader who was extradited to Nigeria from Kenya is facing charges bordering on treasonable felony, incitement, among others brought against him by the federal government over his campaign for the Republic of Biafra.
Upon his capture and extradition back to Nigeria, Nnamdi Kanu was arraigned before Binta Nyako of the federal high court in Abuja on June 29.
The judge later adjourned his trial till July 26 for a hearing, a date which the DSS failed to produce the pro-Biafra agitator, citing logistics problem.
