Are you a Nigerian undergraduate student in your first or second year of study? If yes, there’s a golden opportunity for you to secure financial support for your academic journey. The NNPC/TotalEnergies National Merit Scholarship Scheme for the 2024/2025 academic session is now open for applications.

This scholarship, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by TotalEnergies Upstream Nigeria Limited (TUPNI) in partnership with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd, is designed to support academically outstanding Nigerian students.

About the Scholarship

The NNPC/TotalEnergies National Merit Scholarship is awarded annually to first and second-year full-time undergraduate students in Nigeria. It is open to students from all fields of study, provided they are studying at NUC-accredited Nigerian universities.

The scholarship covers the student’s financial needs from the year of award until the completion of their undergraduate degree, helping to ease the burden of tuition fees and other academic-related expenses.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for consideration, applicants must:

  • Be registered full-time undergraduate students in an NUC-accredited Nigerian university.

  • Be either a 100-level or 200-level student at the time of application.

 Ineligibility Criteria

The following categories of students should not apply:

  • Students who scored less than 200 in their UTME.

  • 200-level students with a CGPA below 2.5 on a 5.0 scale.

  • Students in 300-level or higher.

  • Students already benefiting from similar scholarships offered by other entities in the oil and gas industry.

Ensure you complete your application before the deadline.

 Selection Process

  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

  • Shortlisted applicants will be invited to take a selection test at designated centres across Nigeria.

  • Please note: All travel expenses to and from the test venues are to be borne by the candidates.

  • Applicants are therefore advised to choose the test centre nearest to them during registration.
