Npower News: FG Sends Important Message To Npower Health Beneficiaries
The N-Power Health program is a part of Nigeria’s National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) that aims to enhance the country’s public health system and improve the health outcomes of vulnerable populations. The program targets young graduates between the ages of 18 and 35 who possess a degree or diploma in a health-related field and have completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program or hold an exemption certificate.
As volunteer health assistants, N-Power Health beneficiaries work in primary healthcare centers across the country. They receive training and support to provide basic health services, including health education, community outreach, and health promotion activities. They also assist healthcare professionals in delivering essential healthcare services to the community.
In the latest Npower news, the Federal Government has reached out to Npower Health beneficiaries to inquire about their experiences at their Place of Primary Assignment (PPA). Npower Health is one of the categories under the Npower programme and aims to address the critical shortage of healthcare workers in Nigeria, especially in rural areas.
Participants in the program receive a monthly stipend and other incentives to support their work as volunteer health assistants. The program lasts for one year, after which beneficiaries are expected to transition to other employment opportunities or start their own businesses.
