N-power Program Overview

The N-power program was introduced in 2016 by President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration with the aim of providing employability and entrepreneurship skills to Nigerian youths. The program has been successful in training and empowering thousands of Nigerian youths since its inception.

Calls for Payment Backlogs to be Cleared With the administration of President Buhari coming to an end this May 2023, Npower beneficiaries are calling on the Minister to clear all payment backlogs before her departure from office. The beneficiaries are anxious to receive their outstanding stipends before the end of the current administration.

Assurance of Continuation of NPower Program

It is noteworthy that the Honourable Minister of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq, has assured beneficiaries that the Npower program will continue under the incoming APC leadership, as it was initiated by the APC government.

Update on Payment of Backlog Stipends

The Npower management, Nasims, has provided an update on the payment of backlog stipends. Beneficiaries who have not been selected for the program are ineligible for payment. However, beneficiaries can check their Npower status via the Nasims self-service portal. Recently, Npower resumed payment of backlog for some beneficiaries who had earlier validated their account details.

Advice for Batch C1 Beneficiaries

For the Npower batch C1 beneficiaries asking for December stipends payment, it is advisable to keep observing your dashboard frequently for any update if you still have access to it. You might still get paid if only your program is extended.

Beware of Fake Recruitment Advertisements

It is important to note that Npower is not recruiting at the moment, any advert showcasing Npower 2023 enrollment is fake. Do not pay any fee for Npower enrollment.

Nigeria to Benefit from UK’s International Partnership Against Poverty In other news, reports have it that Nigeria is set to benefit from the UK’s international partnership against poverty. This could be a positive development for Npower beneficiaries and other vulnerable Nigerians.

Regarding the Npower batch C1 beneficiaries asking for December stipend payment, Npower management previously stated that their program ended in August 2022, and every other stipend paid was a bonus.

Unfortunately, a lot of exited Npower beneficiaries are still hoping for their Nexit package without any concrete update from the Npower management on whether payment will be made. There is no new information regarding the Nexit program update. Until then, the Npower management advises beneficiaries to engage in other positive things.

Recall that N-Power told all recipients, particularly those with backlogs, that they would receive their payments. We have provided evidence of beneficiaries who received their stipend today as an attachment to this story.
