The Area Commander of Keffi Division, Assistant Commissioner of Police Aisha Yusuf has revealed that the Nigerian Police Force has made substantial recovery of items and apprehended some prime suspects involved in the security breach that occurred in the main campus of the University on the 23rd September 2022.
Goldennewsng reports that Assistant Commissioner Aisha made the revelation when she paid a courtesy visit to the management of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, on Wednesday, 19th October 2022.
Madam Aisha said the Police Force acting on credible information has arrested the gang leader of the crime and are still on the trail of the other suspects who are still at large, assuring that no stone will be left unturned until all the suspects are brought to book to face the long arm of the law.
In his welcome remarks, Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed thanked the visiting police boss for the visit. He stated that the visit will further streghten the existing cordial relationship between the University and the Nigerian Police Force.
He lauded the police commander for the wonderful work she is doing in getting rid of criminal elements in the society.
Professor Suleiman who described the security breach on the main campus of the University on Friday 23rd September 2022 as unfortunate requested the police hierachy to beef up security within the campus and students area taking into consideration the fact that students have resumed school after the long industrial action.
