NYSC Members Will Start Receiving N10,000 Monthy Stipend Starting from January 2024.

 

GoldenNewsNg gathered that NYSC Corps Members serving in Adamawa State will start receiving N10,000 Monthly Stipend from January 2024. 

In a laudable move aimed at easing the impact of fuel subsidy removal on National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has directed the provision of an additional monthly stipend of N10,000 starting January next year. This uplifting announcement was made during the swearing-in ceremony of Batch C Stream 2 deployment, where 1,340 corps members were posted to the state.

  • Monthly Stipend: NYSC members in Adamawa State to receive an extra N10,000 monthly allowance from January 2024.
  • Governor’s Directive: Governor Fintiri issues directive as a proactive measure to cushion the impact of fuel subsidy removal.
  • Existing Support: Complements the Federal Government’s support through the NYSC scheme.
  • Service-Long Bonus: Corps members also enjoy a N20,000 service-long bonus upon successful completion of their service year.
  • Governor’s Gesture: Governor Fintiri donates 50 bags of rice, 10 bulls, and 10 jerricans of cooking oil to the orientation camp.

Governor’s Address: Governor Fintiri, addressing the corps members, congratulated them on their graduation and urged them to perceive deployment and orientation as opportunities to discover their talents. He stressed the significance of fully embracing this golden opportunity.

Further Support: During the ceremony, Governor Fintiri demonstrated continued support by donating essential provisions to the orientation camp, including 50 bags of rice, 10 bulls, and 10 jerricans of cooking oil. This contribution aims to meet the feeding requirements of the newly deployed corps members.

Encouragement for Future Success: The State Commissioner of Youths and Sports, Wali Yakubu, also the State Chairman of the NYSC Governing Board, encouraged corps members to make thoughtful choices from the various skill sets offered by the scheme. He emphasized active participation in training sessions and encouraged them to aspire to become job creators in the future.

This positive development showcases the commitment of the Adamawa State government to support and empower its youth corps members, acknowledging the challenges they may encounter during their service year. The additional stipend reflects a proactive measure to enhance the well-being of NYSC members in the state.
