Ifeanyi Okowa, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) vice presidential candidate and governor of Delta, has expressed regret for the senseless murder of Uyi Iluobe, a medical professional, in a Delta healthcare facility.
Goldennewsng reports that at a hospital in Oghara town in the state’s Ethiope West Local Government Area, the deceased was allegedly attacked and killed by relatives of his patient.
This is what Mr. Olisa Ifeajika, Okowa’s Chief Press Secretary, said in a statement on Tuesday in Asaba. The governor said that Iluobe’s murder was barbaric and wrong.
Okowa asserts that Deltans should not condone the unintentional killing of a talented young man.
He pledged, “As a government, we will support the security agencies to do everything possible to uncover those responsible for his killing and bring them to justice.”
