Former Director General of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Organisation, Doyin Okupe, has opened up on the conviction of the former Nigerian Deputy Senate President  Senator Ike Ekweremadu wife, by a UK Court.

Naija News recalls that Ekweremadu alongside his wife and doctor, Obinna Obeta were convicted for attempted organ harvesting of a Nigerian trafficked to Britain to provide a kidney for their ailing daughter.

Reacting to the development, Okupe took to his Twitter handle to say a word of prayer for the Ekweremadu’s.

He prayed that God would intervene and help the family.

He noted that he could not act as a judged in the matter and called on God to help the family in their time of trouble.

He wrote, “My heart this morning goes out to Ekweremadu, his wife and unfortunate family. I cannot act as a judge in this matter.

But I pray that God of the universe who rules over the affairs of men will intervene in this sad development. God, help us in this time of trouble as you promised.”
