It seems that most Nigerians are getting their information and views about the ravaging corona virus from their favorite celebrities and not the government and its agencies. In recent times many Nigerians have criticized the government on its handling of the corona virus pandemic.
The primary target has been the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) which has been releasing figures to the public on the number of people affected by the corona virus pandemic in the country. The agency has been releasing figures since march when the pandemic official became an emergency in Nigeria and many people are not happy with it.
One celebrity that has been telling the public not to trust the figures coming from the NCDC is Edrees Abdulkareem a popular Nigerian singer who on his Instagram handle compared the way in which Nigeria and many other countries are handling the pandemic.
