The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Friday, cancelled the Kaduna Central senatorial primary election held on May 3, 2022.
A statement signed by the Kaduna state PDP Secretary, Ibrahim Wusono, stated that the decision to cancel the election was taken based on the National Assembly Appeal Committee report and recommendation.
The secretary of the state chapter of the PDP told reporters, that the cancellation was due to several petitions filed by the aspirants to the election appeal committee.
He, however, said that the Kaduna Central Senatorial primary election will not hold on June 4, 2022, as earlier stated.
Wusono noted that the state chapter of the party awaits further directives from the party’s national headquarters
