Gubernatorial Aspirant of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in Niger state, Alhaji Isa Liman Kantigi has vowed to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) if given the ticket of the party for the 2023 general elections.
Kantigi, a former state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs under the immediate past administration of Governor Muazu Babangida Aliyu explained while addressing PDP delegates from zone B at the party secretariat in Minna that he was at the party secretariat to notify them of his intention to seek for Governotorial election.
Kantigi who donated one million naira to each of the four Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) Camps in Munya, Shiroro, Rafi and Paikoro Local Government Areas from zone B affected by insurgency advised the delegates to chose the best candidate that is willing and ready to move to the PDP to greater heights.
Speaking on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) case, he said the rumours were in the imagination of some mischief-makers, maintaining that “I have no single case with the EFCC and I am ready any time if invited for questioning.
”I am ready to challenge those peddling such rumours concerning me having a case with the EFCC. And, the EFCC is not a spirit, it is made of people and if invited I will honour the invitation”.
