The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the 2023 elections, Adewole Adebayo has urged his counterparts in the Labour Party (LP), and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar respectively to stop blaming the court for their loss.

Adebayo in a post via his account on the X platform said both Attiku and Obi should stop throwing tantrums because they lost elections.

According to him, the loss of the two candidates in the 2023 elections does not give them the opportunity to undermine the nation’s institutions.

The SDP candidate reminded his PDP and LP counterparts that they have gained much from the legal and judiciary system so they shouldn’t desecrate national institutions because of the pain of their personal loss.

He wrote: “The Courts Are Not To Blame. @atiku and @PeterObi who have gained much from our legal system and judiciary should not because of personal disappointment throw epic tantrums to undermine sacred national institutions. To forget the past because of the present is to forgo the future.”

Adebayo’s submission comes on the heels of Obi’s declaration on Monday during a world press conference in which he blamed both the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Supreme Court for their roles in the final outcome of the 2023 elections which produced President Bola Tinubu.

Obi accused INEC of displaying incompetence and also accused the Supreme Court of treating the allegations of forgery and identity theft against President Tinubu with levity.
