Former media aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad has reacted to the presence of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi at the wedding ceremony of the son of the Senate Deputy President, Barau Jibrin.
Goldennewsng earlier reported that Obi on Friday, joined other chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State for the wedding ceremony of the son of the Deputy Senate President.
A host of top government officials and other dignitaries turned out for the wedding ceremony of Jibrin’s son, Abdullahi who got married to Bilkisu Aliyu Sani Madaki, daughter of the Deputy Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Aliyu Sani Madaki.
The wedding which held at Isyaka Rabiu Juma’at Mosque, Goron Dutse, Kano, after juma’at prayers had dignitaries such as the Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, House of Reps Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas, Senator Ali Ndume, and Kawu Sumaila in attendance.
Others in attendance were elder statesman Aminu Dantata, former Senate President Ahmad Lawan, members of the Kano State Executive Council among others.
Reacting to Obi’s presence at the ceremony, Ahmad said he is happy for the Labour Party presidential candidate as he has just joined the real politics.
“Peter Obi attended wedding of Deputy Senate President’s son in Kano today. Peter has just joined the real politics, I am happy for him,” Ahmad tweeted on Friday evening.
