Osita Okechukwu, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC, has ruled out Atiku Abubakar, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for president in 2023.
Goldennewsng reports that Okechukwu stated that his party is more concerned about Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, than Atiku.
Okechukwu also said that Bola Tinubu, the APC’s candidate for president, has come a long way and knows a lot about the country, which will help him win the 2023 election.
On Monday morning, while appearing on the program Arise Television Morning Show, the Director General of the Voice of Nigeria made the disclosure.
He claimed that Atiku had lost his support base and was unable to win Buhari’s 12 million votes.
Nobody can deny that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu knows the onion, according to him. He has come a long way and is familiar with the country and the gravitas. Additionally, PDP does not bother us; for example, Atiku has lost his base.
Peter Obi and other individuals are of greater concern to us. We are aware of Kwankwaso’s qualifications and abilities, but he is going against the zoning convention. Therefore, if you tell us about Peter Obi, we can say, ok, that’s where we’re worried, but Atiku, who has lost his base, is not the subject of our concern.
“Atiku is powerless; I pose a challenge to those who assert this. He is unable to obtain Buhari’s 12 million votes; He is unable. He does not possess Buhari’s voter base,” he stated.
