Meanwhile, singer, Asake recently narrated how ace rapper, noticed him and added him to the YBNL family.
He said that before he got signed to Olamide’s YBNL nation, it took years of dedication towards achieving his heart desire.
Speaking in an interview with Cool FM, Asake revealed that he’s been sending messages to Olamide since 2020 but the label boss didn’t respond to any of his texts.
According to the ‘Sungba’ hit maker, he would slide into Olamide’s DM often asking for help and reminding him about how he helped his friends, of which Fireboy is among.
The singer further said he attended the same school with Fireboy, but the ‘peru’ hit-maker experienced a breakthrough in the entertainment business before him so he always brought it up while texting Olamide all in a bid to get the YBNL founder’s attention.
He added that sadly, all that didn’t work out at the time, but his dream turned to reality with the release of his smash hit, ‘Omo Ope’.
